How to use the portal

Here’s a guide to our Members’ Portal:

LOGIN: from the Members’ Portal home page, click on Log in. Your Username/Email Address is the email that you registered when you joined Nikkei Australia. Then click Lost Password and an email will be sent to you. Click on the link in the email and choose a strong password. That’s your login for the Portal.

PROFILE: Hover over your name or image and a menu will appear. Click on Profile and the bio that you supplied when you joined Nikkei Australia will appear. Please keep your bio updated, especially if you are involved in any Nikkei Australia related projects. You can change your profile image, cover photo.

SETTINGS: Go to Settings to change your email preferences, profile visibility, etc.

ACTIVITY: Go to Activity to see what others have shared, what new groups you might like to join, members’ posts about the things they’re up to…and feel free to share your work, thoughts, random ideas, or events that you think might be of interest to other members. This is like our ‘wall’…and we invite you to post whatever you want to share.

FRIENDS and GROUPS: You can ‘Friend’ any member, and invite members to Groups that you or others create. For example, the PWFC-Past Wrongs Future Choices Project Group is for sharing information, events, resources, or just ideas connected to the PWFC international collaborative project.

MESSAGES: You can send private or public messages to any member by going to Messages and click Compose. Type @ and the first name of the member and the portal will autofill. An email will be sent to the sendee.

Click on MEMBERS to see all the members’ names; Click on GROUPS to find like-minded groups of people; click on NEWS to see the latest posts.

We hope the Nikkei Australia Membership Portal will become a place where you can share ideas and find ways to collaborate, a safe space to share unique Nikkei Australian concerns.
